The Cortina kitchen project culminated in an advanced, functional design with a classic black-and-white palette.

Custom-designed and made in Tauranga for this home, the cabinetry comprises many interesting features in this Modern Kitchen Facelift. At only 2.1m high, the central cupboards leave significant headroom and air above, retaining the room’s sense of space. In contrast, the false bulkhead encloses the gap between the cabinets and the ceiling, making full use of the floor to ceiling space.

The white cabinetry is complemented with contrasting black cup handles and knobs forming a vintage-inspired aesthetic that lends to a refined archaic feel. Subtle ‘Oslo’ profiled panels from Dezignatek add definition to the Black Azara 38mm knobs and Delamore 64mm Black cup handles from Archant.

The timeless shaker kitchen cabinets and drawers offer ample storage making use of the above-head space, which leads to a stylish, functional display shelf. The kitchen boasts an integrated range hood with downlights to make the cooking on the in-built gas stove top compact yet inviting. Dual stainless steel under-mount sink complements the stainless-steel accented appliances, with a chrome, gooseneck tap to tie the kitchen design together.

A wide-engineered stone bench top in Fox Glacier colourway has a mitred edge finish creating a subtle and elegant workspace that serves as a convenient breakfast bar or dining space. The Cortina kitchen is a timeless renovation that provides functionality with a touch of luxury.
