Grand Textures
Papamoa | $15K – $20K | Modern Kitchen
Modern Kitchens Facelifts used timeless neutral tones and elegant wood and marble textures to create an elegant centrepiece that adds value to this modern home.
Keeping the functional bones and transforming the face of this kitchen made it feel spacious and inviting without the price tag of a completely new kitchen.
Grey highlights in the benchtop’s marble texture made it the perfect pair for the beautiful wood-grain texture feature on the kitchen island. This was achieved with Pacific Quartz Calacatta Gold Light engineered stone benchtop and Melteca Smoked Birchply panels.
Textured dark grey tiles were used as a splashback to add interest and match the woodgrain. They have the added bonus of being easy to maintain.
The cabinetry is in a fingerprint-resistant Melteca Snowdrift matte white for easy maintenance, paired with contrasting black Archant Edge Straight and Anzio pantry door handles. Minor additions were made to the cabinets, extending them to the ceiling. This simple, clean design feature adds a sense of height to the kitchen, and negative detailing creates a clean line between the cupboards and ceiling.
Pre-Facelift
An undermount stainless-steel Mercer Burlington double bowl sink fits in with the clean aesthetic, and an Aurora Gooseneck tap completes the look.
